Ab Circle Pro Reviews

I’m sure you will have seen the Ab Circle infomercial that stars Jennifer Nicole Lee gliding to and fro on the Ab Circle machine.

The Ab Circle Pro machine featured in this infomercial makes bold claims to be a treadmill for your abs. Even bolder claims are made by the creators of Ab Circle Pro promising that you will get rid of your love handles and fat on your back within just a few weeks of using it for a three minute express workout. Well, sadly we can’t all have Jennifer Nicole Lee to work out with.

So, does it really work? Is it worth buying? Is it all just sales talk or are there real benefits?

Main Features of Ab Circle Pro:

There’s more to the Ab Circle Pro than just an impressive looking exercise machine advertised by the beautiful fitness guru Jennifer Nicole Lee. Let’s take a look at the major points.

  • Firstly the quality, this is gym quality machinery made from gym quality steel, not like the flimsy equipment that is often sold for home use. It is meant to last a lifetime.
  • It folds up! You don’t need your own gym to store this. It can fold up and easily be hidden away in a cupboard or under the bed when not in use.
  • It can be used by people with varying experience and levels of fitness due to the three resistance level settings.
  • You exercise off the floor; thanks to the patented Friction Free Track.
  • The machine comes with a free DVD of the three minute express workout.
  • It also comes with a nutritional guide entitled ‘Lose your Love Handles’ and a users manual.
  • The Ab Circle Pro can be set to specially target buns and thighs.
  • Last but by no means least with the Ab Circle Pro package comes the Ab Circle Fitness Computer, like machines you might have used at gym; this will allow you to keep track of vital information such as calories burned, reps and the amount of time you have spent on your workout.

Ab Circle Pro Machine – the positives:

I have had six years experience in the fitness business as both a competing bodybuilder and a personal trainer. I have used the Ab Circle Pro myself and can confirm it does offer a great workout for the abs.

For my first session I used the machine for ten minutes and really felt the burn in my abdominal muscles. I could feel it for several days and I am no newcomer to workouts! For the last three months I have been using the Ab Circle Pro as part of my workouts.

I have been using it at least once a week and I’m still seeing results I would not have expected without this machine. I definitely feel stronger, and I’ve noticed a difference in my obliques.

I’ve spoken to other people in the fitness industry who have used the Ab Circle Pro and they also report good results, seeing a general enhancement to their overall core appearance.

I know people who have had problems finding a suitable workout for obliques find the Ab Circle Pro a great solution. Increasing the intensity of every workout worked well for me, and the nutritional advice that comes with the machine is also very helpful for general weight loss.

Ab Circle Pro – the negatives:

Problem 1:
I have heard that there can be problems with the machine being uncomfortable for the knees. It’s not something I’ve experienced with it myself but those who have, said they solved the problem by adding a small hand towel as extra padding.

Problem 2:
There are also problems reported with getting through to customer services, something I experienced as I made the mistake of having the machine shipped to my old address after a recent move. Having said that, when I did get through they were very helpful and sorted out the shipping for me very quickly.

Problem 3:
Another reported problem is that the rollers can wear out. The trick for this is to keep them well oiled. Another problem encountered by users is a mild discomfort to the back; due to stretching of the arms to hold the handlebars, although this has only been reported by those with pre-existing back pain problems and can be avoided by making sure you keep your back nice and straight while using the machine. There has also been mention of the knee pads sliding and the paint wearing away when used over a long period.

Is it Worth Getting an Ab Circle Pro?

Personally I think it’s a great product, especially for those who have trouble getting motivated to get some exercise and who get bored easily, finding it hard to keep up with a repetitive abdominal workout. You can take your mind off the exercise by simultaneously watching television, or get things done such as cleaning or making a meal. For the machine to be most effective it is important that you try and keep your torso aligned straight, and move from the hips.

Don’t assist the movement by using your arms or your back and chest muscles. The workout becomes more of a challenge by the isolation of the core. Obviously, as with any other workout regime it’s always recommended to study your diet and adapt it as necessary. If your diet is lacking then any fitness regime will be hindered. Take some time to read up about healthy eating including fat loss and lower carb diets.

Ab Circle Pro – is it a scam?

No, it is not a scam. There have been studies made on the machine and the results reported “the Ab Circle provided an efficient combination of muscle conditioning, and calorie-burning benefits all in one machine” I personally have had great results from it, and I know others have too. It’s simple and handy to use but more importantly for me, it can be used over a longer period of time without any loss in efficacy. The intensity and length of your workout can be changed to make sure your body has to adapt constantly. It’s also a lot of fun to use.

When you don’t feel like doing other forms of exercise, you’re far more likely to want to have a few minutes on your Ab Circle Pro. So, do I think you should buy one? Most definitely, but you must also concentrate on your diet.
